Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are excited to invite your child or teen to join our summer reading fun and games! The Talking Book Libraries have a free summer reading programs for patrons from preschool through teenagers, with two programs - one for teens and one for younger readers. We are looking forward to having a large team of summer readers having fun and improving their reading skills.

All readers who sign up will receive a book bag filled with everything they need to Get in the Game - READ!, including booklists about games, athletes, and other interesting things. We'll be posting some of their reviews on Illinois KidsZone at
www.ilkidszone.info so they can show off their skills and share the books they recommend. Younger kids will be able to earn a prize for every two books they read or two reading journals they send in, up to 5 prizes. Teens will receive a skateboard keychain for reading one book and if they read five books they will be entered into a drawing for one of our gym bags filled with a t-shirt and a water bottle (one entry per person).

The starting whistle sounds on June 2nd, so hurry and sign up today for Get in the Game - READ! Registrations are accepted by phone, email or mail. Don't forget, your kids can also sign up for their local public library summer reading program and participate in those activities.

Sincerely,

Your Talking Book Center
