What We Provide for Teachers

Our collection includes popular fiction, magazines, Accelerated Reader titles, and many commonly assigned books such as classics and Newbery award winners, as well as nonfiction needed for research and reports. We have a growing collection of nearly 80,000 braille and audio titles for kids, teens and adults! All of our books are unabridged, which allows audio and print versions of the same title to be used in conjunction.

Talking Book Center (TBC) readers advisors are happy to help you choose books! You can also search for books and order directly from our online catalog - call us for a user ID and password.

Teachers can go to Illinois KidsZone to download individual and classroom applications, find their local TBC library, access our online catalog, locate textbook providers and find information about downloadable audio books and our summer reading program.
